About Us

KJM Guardianship provides high-quality guardianship and consulting services to Vermont’s aging population. Our mission is to support individuals in maintaining independence, enhancing quality of life, and offering peace of mind to clients and families.
We take a hands-on approach, attending to medical, financial, and emotional needs with compassion and professionalism. Our team offers a range of essential services on an on-call basis, and we are always willing to explain the guardianship process and responsibilities to anyone seeking guidance or without someone to advocate for them.
Understanding that crises rarely occur during business hours, we remain available around the clock. Our services are tailored to each client’s unique needs and wishes. We take an active interest in their well-being and work to empower them to make their own decisions, even when facing cognitive challenges such as dementia.
KJM Guardianship excels in crisis management. Our strength lies in our ability to assess situations quickly and act decisively to stabilize them. We are skilled in supporting clients with complex or challenging behaviors, always treating each individual with dignity and respect. Ethical practice forms the foundation of all our work.
With dedicated staff who share a passion for this distinctive approach to long-term care, KJM Guardianship has become a trusted expert in Chittenden County and throughout Vermont.

Meet the Team

Erin Zea, LNA, CDP: Owner, Professional Guardian & Consultant

Caring for those in need has been at the heart of Erin’s career for over a decade. As a Licensed Nurse Assistant since 2012, Erin has extensive experience supporting the geriatric population with activities of daily living (ADLs). Her work at The Arbors deepened her expertise in dementia and Alzheimer’s care, and shortly after starting her career with KJM Guardianship, she earned her certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner through the NCCDP.
In addition to her hands-on caregiving experience, Erin brings a strong administrative background from her roles at the University of Vermont Medical Center and the Visiting Nurse Association. Her ability to manage complex office operations while providing compassionate, client-centered care makes her a trusted and versatile professional in the field.
As of November 2024, Erin is proud to be the new owner of KJM Guardianship, where she continues to advocate for vulnerable individuals with integrity, empathy, and professionalism. Under her leadership, KJM remains committed to providing ethical, person-centered guardianship and consulting services that prioritize dignity, safety, and quality of life. The company works closely with families, legal professionals, and care teams to ensure that every client receives the support and protection they deserve.
